On December 23rd, NFC president Wang Hongqian paid visit to Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Xing Haiming in Ulaanbaatar.

Ambassador Xing first introduced recent development in Sino-Mongolian relationship. Having been upgraded to comprehensive strategic partnership since President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Mongolia in August, 2014, the bilateral relationship is further strengthened by Mongolia’s President Tsakhia Elbegdorj’s return visit to China in November, 2015. At the latter meeting, two national leaders reached important consensus on the strategic link of initiatives between “Silk Road Economic Belt” and “Road of Grassland”, which further broadens the potential for cooperation of the two nations on a solid foundation with strong momentum. Ambassador Xing appreciated NFC’s model performance with Tumutiin-Ovoo zinc mine as epitome over the last 10 years in Mongolia, and looking forward to NFC’s new contribution to Sino-Mongolian mutual beneficial cooperation.
